The Business Club at the Foundation for Advancement of Science and Technology (FAST) has organized a National Business Idea competition.
A total of 25 teams from universities across the country will be competing in the event under themes including social entrepreneurship, agricultural entrepreneurship and technology entrepreneurship. The competing teams will consist of three to five members and will prepare presentations on their chosen idea including its marketing, human resource and financial aspects. The judges for the competition include renowned businessmen from the region, and the objective of the competition is to engage business graduate to develop innovative proposals for national development.
The participants were asked to present business ideas that were feasible and sustainable in the long term, and given a month to work on their ideas. They were tasked with designing logos, slogans, complete research work and also draft a cash flow and profit expectations chart.
