Social Enterprise Forum in India

Over 500 social enterprise enthusiasts are expected to attend the 3rd Annual Sankalp Social Enterprise and Investment Forum at Taj Lands End in Mumbai on May 5-6.

This is one of India’s largest forums dedicated to showcasing dynamic businesses, and has become a platform for catalyzing the flow of capital into enterprises with a social and/or environmental impact. This year’s conference is expected to shed light on a proposed 1000Cr.

National Innovation Fund that will be set up with the intent of fostering innovative businesses capable of promoting socially inclusive growth in India. Organizers of the forum cite the need for a large-scale enabling eco-system within the country for growing businesses.

They say that the recognition of this need to support the growth of businesses that are built with the intent of not only bringing change but also creating wealth for all stakeholders is a positive step forward.

Having recently travelled across India, and totally believing in the necessity of promoting social enterprise and social entrepreneurship in Asia and the rest of the world, I encourage you to find out more about the social enterprise forum, especially if you happen to be there in India during those dates.
