Scott Harrison is an example of someone who changed his life through social entrepreneurship He went from being a self-absorbed New York City nightclub promoter to devoting his life to charity. Harrison is still in New York, but now he heads up charity: water, a non-profit organizations that has delivered clean drinking water to over 1 million people in 17 different countries.

His goal is to help more than 100 million more in the next ten years. But this is still only a fraction of the billion people on the planet who don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water today. Harrison ranks as one of the most visionary social entrepreneurs of our time, as his visionary non-profit grew 123% in 2010 in spite of the down economy.
