I recognise that many people who get into social entrepreneurship must first get into the world of work and volunteering.
That is why I am proud to announce the NEW Job Board on the MatthewAlberto.com website. The job board will feature plenty of the latest jobs and volunteer opportunities that are related to the field of social entrepreneurship – such as humanitarianism, international development, environmentalism and community mobilisation.
The shortcut to the job section is http://jobs.matthewalberto.com.
I hope that it will help many of you who are wanting to change the world, but who want to gain some experience (and perhaps even a steady paycheck) while you are starting out.
If you are a social entrepreneur yourself, running your own social enterprise, you are also more than welcome to Post a Job or a Volunteer Opportunity on the Job Board for a fee of only $20 USD for 30 days.

This looks like it’s probably well-intentioned, so this is constructive feedback, Alberto: The jobs listed don’t seem to have anything to do with social entrepreneurship. Are they just based on a keyword search or filter? I think it’s a good idea but it will require much more TLC to really be able to offer high quality job and volunteer postings. I’m skeptical that the quality you want can be done through automated filters, but if you think it can be done, go for it and best of luck!
Gday Dave. Thanks for the comment. Yes, I just added it today, and I’ve been working with the keywords in order to find the social entrepreneurship-related, jobs. When I first added it, it included many humanitarian and enviro jobs which are very useful, I think, especially to our readers.
However, just then I tried to add the word “social” (as part of the word “social entrepreneurship”) and unfortunately several “social media manager” posts came up! Thanks for pointing that out, and I will take out the word “social” from the keyword list so as to make it more relevant for you and other readers.
Any other feedback would be really appreciated!
I modified the job board just a little bit, and it now appears that the jobs listed are alot more relevant.
Thanks again Dave for pointing out the errors.
Matthew
Congrats on the New project…You’ve come a long way since I guest posted your article on The Social Entrepreneur Forum blog.

Gday Michael,
Yeahh.. really been working at it – there were times when I was actually thinking of letting go of this blog (at the beginning), but it seems to be growing more and more each day, and am getting very positive feedback.
