Compass Partners is an example of social entrepreneurship located in Washington, DC. The company is comprised of a consultancy, a fellowship program and a national conference event. All of these efforts are designed to encourage youth education and social enterprise initiatives.

Compass Partners has teamed up with the Kenneth Cole Foundation to fund the Compass Fellowship, a unique program for college freshmen that helps these students develop as entrepreneurs. The Fellowship program is the main focus of Compass efforts and funds, but the consultancy is also an important element through which the company partners with other organizations.

The Compass consultancy recently teamed with the Iraqi Young Leaders Exchange Program to organize a mini-conference this month that will focus on social entrepreneurship. The company also sponsors the Shift Series National Conference to bring together leaders in the field to discuss the latest approaches to solving social problems.
