Ryan Leslie is a social entrepreneur who has created an internship program for youth mentoring in the US. His NextSelection organization created a program which would pair him up with 1 to 2 young people each year who exhibited a desire to succeed, and he would work with them for 20 hours or more each week to help them develop a plan for success in the media and technology industries.

Some of these interns have ended up becoming full time NextSelection employees, while others have gone to work for large companies like Warner Brothers. There are others who have started up their own businesses as well and achieved success. Brandon Fletcher is one of these interns from 2005 who now makes over $10,000 per month with an online reality series on YouTube.
