Fundraising for nonprofits can have a much bigger impact when similar charities partner in joint fundraising campaigns. For example, the national Be Bold, Be Bald event brings many cancer charities across the country together of a single day in October, as people across the US don bald caps to raise awareness and funds for cancer charities. Many social entrepreneurship organizations have benefited from this campaign, which is not limited by geography. The campaign, organized by Small Army for a Cause, has raised over $250,000 from more than 2,000 participants across the US. Small Army for a Cause manages all of the event logistics and marketing, and participants work to raise money from their local communities and raise awareness for the event. When participants register for the event, they are also able to specify which charities they would like their funds to benefit.
