The nonprofit Social Media Club is an organization dedicated to promoting high standards in digital media and examining the impact of social media on society and social networking for business. This international group is comprised of social media professionals which are helping to shape the online landscape as the world moves beyond Web 2.0. The organization features over 300 local chapters in global cities, and they are known for hosting quality events and promotions related to social and digital media. For example, the local chapter of the Social Media Club in Pennsylvania has announced that they are helping to organize a Social Media Conference in 2011 which will be the largest event of its kind in Philadelphia. Gloria Bell, the president of the Philadelphia club will be one of co-chairing the event which will feature over 20 seminars . These seminars will provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs and executives to discuss social media strategies and tactics while learning more about social networking for business.
